I went to LA’s Bigest Business Networking Mixer the other week at the Shrine Auditorium. Huge Expos are like Six Flags for me! Not only did I meet several of my friends from online but I met a WHOLE bunch of recent colleague, and learned about some new referal for Networking Event Finders.com. Be that as it may a amusing thing happened on the way to the auto I parked my car at the very top of the building (got a spectacular photo of the Los Angeles ) and at the end of the expo, when a quite a few of us got on the elevator what do you think happened? For The Networking Jobseeker
As The Govenator puts it, the “Good, Bad & the Ugly” of the CA budget issue has been decided and it looks like huge layoffs are counted uponhere. What that means your business networking events are going to see additional jobseekers, pink “slip mixers” and career fairs than ever (the latter assumes there are still companies hiring). In conversations I’ve had with networking event hosts across the country, they tell me that they are all experiencing a up stat in the number of people who attend who list themselves as looking for work.
