Monday, January 11th, 2010

There are many different ways to track the status of your refund check. It will all depend on how you filed your return.

If you e-filed directly through the IRS then you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. First, you will need to wait about 72 hours for your information to be processed into the IRS website.

  2. After that you will need to gather some information. You will need to have your social security number or taxpayer identification number, filing status, and the exact amount of your expected refund.

  3. Once you enter this information into their system you will be able to track the status of your refund.

If no information is available then you may call the IRS customer service line to get more information. If you still have not received your refund within 28 days of filing then you may begin a refund trace to locate your return.

If you filed your return using tax preparation software such as TurboTax Online, then you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Once you have completed your return, you will receive an e-mail within a few minutes to let you know your return was processed successfully.

  2. Then you may check the status of your federal return within 24 to 48 hours.

  3. You will then have the option to either receive an e-mail when your return has been sent or you may directly log back into TurboTax and check the status simply by entering your login information.

TurboTax will also let you know if your return has been rejected and you will be able to make changes immediately and resubmit your return.

The Differece Between Domain And Web Hosting

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Do you know that there is a difference betweeen web hosting and domain names? A lot of people typically mix these two terms together because they think that they both mean the same thing when in fact they’re not. A domain name is the unique name that identifies an Internet site. Every time you type in an address in your browser – that address you type is a domain name by itself.

Web hosting, on the other hand, is the service that provides the computers (”servers”) on which the web site runs. Web site hosting is a service that provides the storage and connectivity necessary for a Web site, e-mail, and Web-based databases. Figuratively, you could say that web hosting is like renting a warehouse or an apartment.

For your web business to thrive, you must depend on a reliable and tested web hosting provider. Before, only big companies can afford to pay to get a website done. Now this is no longer the case. Even a person with a small business such as those teaching people how to make money on the internet can set up his own website. You will also notice that web site hosting is now available at a reasonable cost.

Based on your own research, or on the recommendation of someone with good technical evaluation skills, you should choose a good linux web site hosting provider, then have someone develop the content for that site. The most important thing is that your site should give your business a good boost.

There are so many web hosting providers to choose from that you can get overwhelmed with all the choices. If your website is for your own personal use, then regular hosting should be fine. However, if you have a business, you should choose premium hosting. There are many web hosting plans that you can choose from, ranging from plans that meet your business needs, such as your internet marketing Indonesia site, to those that meet your personal needs.

Your own domain name with a reliable hosting package is a good start for your online business. Companies that specialize in providing web hosting services can do a much better job of providing the hardware, but usually don’t develop the content for the site.
